Erosion control, Erosion control is the practice of preventing or controlling wind or water erosion in agriculture, land development and construction. Effective erosion controls are important techniques in preventing water pollution and soil loss. Coastal Quality uses erosion control methods in commercial and residenctial environments. In urban areas erosion control is often management of stormwater and/or watershed from structures. We can help build controls, often involving the creation of a physical barrier, such as vegetation or rock, to absorb some of the energy of the wind or water that is causing the erosion. In some urban situations construction of collection systems/sediment basins with emitters are necessary in efforts to absorb some of the energy to significantly reduce damaging effects.
